Big Win!
A huge victory today for the Oregon Ducks as we beat #3 Michigan at home. It was an all-time classic game, and my voice is gone from all the yelling and screaming that went on.
The Doughboy is all excited because his beloved LSU is undefeated. But since my Ducks are as well, hopefully they'll both keep it rolling to set up a national title showdown. Of course, I'm dreaming, and both teams will probably lose soon (especially LSU).
Anyway, I'm always sorry to see wakeboarding season slow down, but being a big college football fan I manage to stay entertained.
"Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cbmrigdae Usviertiny, it deons't mteatr in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be at the rghit pclae. I don't know about you, but I could read that pretty fast!

TLAP Day Coming Up!
That's right, September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. How is this wakeboarding related? Well, it's not, but since we wakeboard on boats, and pirates were on boats, it makes sense to talk like a pirate while wakeboarding.
Here are some suggested ways you can talk like a pirate while wakeboarding:
Pirate Talk: "Avast! Throw that there scaliwag to the sharks, and throw him the rope ye bilge rat!"
Translation: "Get in the water to ride, and someone throw them the rope."
Pirate Talk: "Me buxom beauty has been kidnapped by a land lubber!"
Translation: "My girlfriend has been stolen by a guy who doesn't spend all day wakeboarding, and talking like a pirate." (Note, your girlfriend will leave you if you talk like a pirate all day)
Pirate Talk: "Ahoy! Prepare to be boarded! Donta worry me mates, we brought ye' Grog."
Translation: "Hey, your wake is bigger than ours, so we're going to ride with you. Don't worry though, we have some beer for you."

Site Move
Well, we've been moving the site this weekend to our new host, NetworkEleven.com. It's a hosting service run by some cool wakeboarders here in Oregon. If you're looking for some good web hosting, check them out.
You should notice everything loading faster, they've got great connectivity.
You can also expect some forum upgrades and some minor site changes over the next few weeks!

Expo This Weekend
Surf Expo is this weekend, which is the big industry "trade show" for the wakeboarding industry. It's called Surf Expo because there are tons of surf and skate companies as well, but wakeboarding is also a large part of the event.
Unfortunately I won't personally be making it this year, but we have one of our staff members there to take pictures and report on any cool new products. Expect lots of company announcements and 2004 product releases in the next month or so.
Also, Sidewayz is having a Video Premiereparty. Here's the info:
"Friday, September 12, Sidewayz will be hosting its first ever teaser/premier party. The show starts at 10 p.m. SHARP and we will be showing clips from such films as Delta Sessions, Invisible Cinema, Sfumato, Black List and soon to be released, the new Hyperlite team video, Welcome.
Come check out all the new insanity going on in wakeboarding, wakeskating and video production its self. The show will be held at club Tabu in down town Orlando, and any one age 18 and older is Welcome. Come support all your favorite athletes as there will be a number of riders and industry leaders gracing the party. Hope to see you there.
