Manufacturer's Description:

The legend returns… Stronger than ever, with plenty of improvements for '04!! No other boot has dominated for so long. This boot is designed for the rider with one thing in mind…Flexible Support. The Ultra is a no frills binding for those that know how to get into a binding, and want to be able to do so without the help of laces, straps, or ratchet, dials, or buckles. The lack of such items allows this boot to have the flexible side to side movement that many riders are looking for. If you're looking to tweak out some poked grabs, or just looking for a comfortable, supportive no hassle ride, the Ultra still reigns supreme.

  • Tri-density EVA/Neo/Lycra heel and toe piece - Provides the most comfortable ride possible…Provides support, cushion, and comfort against the skin
  • Glass composite plate w/ molded in aluminum inserts - This ultra responsive plate is the stiffest, most durable plate on the market today. Bent plates are a thing of the past.
  • Canted footbed… a first of it's kind - It lets your legs work they way they want to.
  • Newly improved, Molded double Ultra Exclusive wrap - Underlay and overlay combination provides complete, secure support and foot comfort. Pressure points are non-existent.

Pros: Great support, really locked in feel, Simple
Cons: Entry and exit is a task

Great bindings, and the proof is in the way LF has held onto the basic Ultra design for so long.

Of course it's evolved along the way, that basic principle of keeping it simple has remained, and it's worked... WELL.

These create the feeling of been really solidly locked in, and provide support in all the right places. They simply feel GOOD.

They are also simple. No laces, ratchets or flux converters. Just solid overlays.
This does however mean that entry and exit is harder, but I feel it's a small price to pay, and with a little lube this can be overcome. they will release fine in a crash too.

I'll give 'em my thumbs up!

    Pros: support, simple, comfort
    Cons: none as of yet

I had a pair of 03 Ultras that I thought the world of. Very comfortable, easy to get on and off once broken in, but I bent the baseplate halfway through the season and I traded them in for the 04's on warranty.

I must say the 04s are a huge improvement. The new glass composite baseplate has zero flex to it, there will be no more bent baseplates, and its even lighter than the 03s were. Same great comfort and support, and LF used lycra in the lining of the bindings, I can get these boots on dry without lube no problem, in less than 3 seconds.

The 04 Ultras are the ultimate of all that is a wakeboard binding. I swear by these boots, and you wont be disappointed by them. I honestly can not see a single flaw to these bindings. There are no laces to stretch or BOA's to break, just solid hold and comfort. Enjoy!

    Pros: very comfortable
    Cons: pain to put on

These bindings are very comfortable but if you have a big foot these are not the ones for you. They are a pain in the ass to put on and even harder to get off. the first time i used them i used a 16oz bottle of slime to get them off! But if you have a smaller foot they are great just order a size up form what you normally would. I wear a size 13 and these binidngs are very tight even though i have the biggest size they come in.
