Manufacturer's Description:
The Exo is designed for one thing… Solid Support. This binding has always been a favorite for riders looking for the stiffer upper ankle type support that you might find in a snowboard boot. For '04 we've taken a great design, and made it better. It's easier to get into, and more comfortable. Don't let the more user friendly features fool you, though… this Exo is now more than ever a force to be reckoned with.
Shaping and assembling modification for more comfort and ease of entry - Softer, more flexible overlay that is now assembled to curve more naturally around the riders foot.
Tri-density EVA/Neo/Lycra heel and toe piece - EVA for support, Neo/Lycra for unmatched comfort against skin.
Glass composite plate w/ molded in aluminum inserts - Go ahead… try to bend them.
Canted footbed - The knee doctor may hate us, but your insurance company will love us.

Pros:
|
soft footbed, easy to put on and take off, execellent support, better plate
|
Cons:
|
stock screws dont fit the HL boards--too short
|
|
much thicker neoprene, new materials are easier to get on and off, thick baseplate. I have a wide, flat foot so I had to modify them from factory settings and do a couple of sessions in the bathtub now they are really comfy and easy to take on and off in the water. I've only come out of them once or twice on major crashes. The heal bumps really keep you locked in & from sliding around in the binding. Wouldnt hesitate to buy again

Great support, really comfy.
|
Cons:

Hard to take off until broken in, cramp up feet after hours.

These binding have really great support, and are really comfy. after a couple of hours of riding though, they begin to cramp up my feet, i have high arches though, so for most riders its probably not a problem. They're also hard to get into and out of, until they get broken in. lube is all you need.
