Manufacturer's Description:
The name Belmont is synonymous with innovative mellow transitioned turns and a smooth snap every time. Hyperlite's most evolved freeride shape varies in style depending on the fin set up. The Belmont is the cornerstone of our high-end shapes.
Belmont Features:
2.6"/2.7"/2.8" Continuous Rocker - a smooth, reliable, fast transition up the wake every time. (Rocker variance reflects 131cm/136cm/141cm)
Full-Length Subtle Step Down Rail - a moderate rail, makes the board sit slightly lower on the water, and also supplies a little more grip throughout the edge.
"V" Bottom Full-Length Tunnel - aids tracking and helps break up the water on landings.
Two 1.1" A-Wing Machined Aluminum Center Fins - provide the general grip for the board with a quicker release.
Four .7" A-Wing Machined Aluminum Outer Fins - these outer fins on each end help stomp landings more consistently and aid the overall traction.
Proven Freeride Progression - Shaun has been evolving mellower feeling boards now for the last 7 seasons.

This was my first board. As my riding progressed I found out this board was certainly not for me. The 6 fin design was too grippy for me and in the end I was riding it with outer fins only. There are some continous rocker boards I really do like, and this is not one of them. To get the amount of pop I desired, I would have to radically change my riding style, and I sold it for an O'brien Harris. I'm now a very happy camper.
Not a bad board at all for many people, but not to my tastes.

This board suits me perfectly. I have last year's model which is the exact same design with different graphics. I love the grippy feel, and landing is made easier with the full length tunnel. If you're looking for a loose board, you might want to look somewhere else or adjust the fin setup.
