Description:
Mike Ferraro and his test team created a new series of boards that you don't have to learn to ride, it's shape allows you to ride in a comfortable position and the design of the board does the work for you. A board that stands up higher on a toeside rail, and sets a harder edge on a heelside rail.
Watch Video of Ferraro explaining the State design
To put it simply, you don't edge the same way on your toeside as you do on your heelside. And whether you're riding regular or switch your you use the same edge for your toeside or heelside edging. People tend to struggle with their toeside edging, so the State is designed with a different toeside edge that is designed to make it easier to create a correct edge and hold it all the way through the wake.

I rode this board during one of Hyperlite's demo days. I really liked it. I normally ride the premier from 2 years ago and it was very similar but didn't grip quite as hard, which I liked. I could feel the difference coming at the wake from my toeside edge. I'm actually going to buy one.
